WEC-TNC (World Energy Council - Turkish National Committee)


Turkish National Committee of Word Energy Council (WEC-TNC) was established on 25.08.1949 with the decision of the Council of Ministers. Ministries, public and private sector companies, universities, public and private sector organizations engaged in scientific and technical research, consultancy firms, professional chambers, associations, foundations and natural persons are the members of WEC-TNC.

Turkish National Committee, which is among the members of World Energy Council European Group since 2006, also participates actively to the Word Energy Council.

TESAB (Turkish Electricity Industry Association)


“Turkish Electricity Industry Association (TESAB)” was established by TEİAŞ, EÜAŞ, TETAŞ and TEDAŞ as per the Council of Minister’s decision and studies of TESAB was started actually with its first General Assembly held on 01.09.2005.

The mission of TESAB is “performing technical, scientific and executive studies regarding the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity”.

TESAB, in which natural person can be a member as well as corporations, is representing our country in EURELECTRIC. Furthermore, TESAB is conducting the CIGRE Türkiye National Committee role since 2014.


TKIB (Turkish Public Enterprises Association)


TKIB was established on 26.12.1990 as per the Council of Minister’s decision in order to revise the situation of public enterprises in parallel with the European and EU structure and assist to this structuring. The vision of the Union is to ensure the sustainability of the experiences gained by Public Enterprises by developing them domestically and in a structure parallel to the European Union.

The Union represents public enterprises at the European level and takes place on behalf of our country in the Services of General Interest (SGI) Europe.While the Association fulfilling the tasks, it also organizes congress periodically, set up committees and working groups or researching units, prepares and publishes bulletins.

TÜREB (Turkish Wind Energy Association)


Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) was established by the decision of the Council of Ministers on February 10, 1992, in order to follow scientific, technical and applied research on wind energy and to engage in activities to popularize the use of wind energy resources.

TÜREB carries out important work in the coordination of TEİAŞ, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the General Directorate of Renewable Energy, the General Directorate of Energy Affairs and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority in order to bring the wind energy potential to the country's economy.

Our organization's experts also contribute to the studies carried out by TÜREB.

TÜREB, a member of the "European Wind Energy Association" and the "Global Wind Energy Council", is the most powerful non-governmental organization in Turkey regarding wind energy.
