WEC (World Energy Council)
The World Energy Council established in 1923, is the only global and inclusive forum that conducts concrete work and leads ideas on the future of sustainable energy. The World Energy Council's 93 national committees represent more than 3000 member organizations, including the state, industry and specialized organizations. WEC, whose mission is to promote energy use based on a sustainable supply chain for all, is represented in Turkey by the Turkish National Committee of the World Energy Council.
The most important event of the WEC is the World Energy Congress held every three years. In the world's number one energy platform where leaders and experts dealing with energy in all aspects, introduction of technologies and exploration of new business opportunities are ensured for the managers. The last WEC congress that TEİAŞ was among one of the host sponsors was organized in Istanbul with the title "Embracing New Frontiers" between 9 and 13 October 2016.
TEIAS, which is a member of both the WEC and the WEC Turkish National Committee, participated in the Congress with its stand and highest-level representation.
